Bighorn Auto Sales & Service is proudly owned and operated by Ryan and Carlee White, proud community members of Revelstoke, BC. The story of our shop begins with Ryan, who had dreams of opening up his own auto repair shop his entire life.
Ryan’s father was a mobile mechanic which enabled Ryan to spend many hours in the automotive industry, learning the ropes and watching as repairs were performed. He loved fixing things as a young adult, and was always busy repairing a dirt bike, snowmobile, or learning hands-on in his mechanic’s classes. Ryan naturally progressed into the automotive industry and attained many certifications over the years, working at various automotive shops to build up his experience.
Carlee and Ryan met in 2008, and were married after 10 years of living together in 2018. Rumor has it that Ryan asked Carlee to marry him three times, with three rings, until she finally said yes! Carlee was born and raised in Revelstoke, BC, and is proud to have been able to call our community home her entire life. Growing up, she enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding in her Dad’s logging truck, along with helping to clean and grease it.
Shortly after graduation, Carlee began a job working at a local bank. After ten years of working there, she realized there was a lack of opportunity to grow herself further within the local branch, and that was around the same time she and Ryan decided to open up an auto repair shop. While it wasn’t easy to leave the security of her job, Carlee knew it was the right thing to do. It was a quick decision to start a business, and Carlee didn't hesitate to give her resignation at the bank as she was looking forward to a new beginning.
We made a fast and hasty decision to build our shop from the ground up in the heart of downtown Revelstoke BC, temporarily working out of a small shop while waiting for renovations to be completed on our current shop. Bighorn Auto Sales & Service was born, and we couldn’t be happier to be able to provide our beloved community with auto care that is honest, reliable, and friendly.
